Do I need an account or signal at the field?

No. There's no sign-up, and everything works offline. If you're signed in to iCloud, your teams sync between your devices when you're back online.

How does Game Time decide who's owed minutes?

Each player is measured against an equal share of the games they were marked present for. A missed game doesn't count against anyone, and a short-handed roster just means more minutes for everyone. The amber mark on the live game screen shows who's owed the most on the bench and who's been on the longest.

How do I make a substitution?

On the live game screen, drag a player from the bench onto the field, or tap one player on each side to stage a pair and tap Sub now at the whistle. With Voice control on in Settings, hold the mic button and say it.

The voice control keeps mishearing a name. What can I do?

Open the player and teach Game Time their name: hold the button and say it the way you would during a game. If the phone hears it differently from how it's spelled, that becomes a nickname it listens for. You can also edit nicknames in Settings.

The game clock kept going when my phone locked. Is that right?

Yes, on purpose. The clock keeps time even if the app is closed, and the score and period countdown stay on your Lock Screen. Tap it to jump back into the game.

How do I back up or move my data?

In Settings, tap Export backup to save everything as a file, and Restore from backup to bring it back. Restoring replaces what's on the device.

How do I delete my data?

Archive teams in Settings, or delete the app and its iCloud data. See the privacy policy for the steps.
