Galactic Grudge
The bosses remember you.
A free neon arcade space shooter for iPhone and iPad, with a classic version you can play right in your browser. Drag to fly, hold to fire, and fight through six sectors of bosses that keep score against you.
Played with one thumb
Drag anywhere to fly and your ship fires on its own. Lift your finger and time slows, so you can line up the next shot. No buttons to learn.
Every fight gets personal
Each boss counts the ships it has taken and the times you've beaten it, taunts you by callsign and wears the bandage you gave it last time. Settle the score.
Always one more medal
Thirty levels across six sectors, five medals a level on each difficulty, and an Endless mode with a boss every ten waves. There's always something just out of reach.
Fun at every skill level
A gentle Easy so younger pilots can play too, a balanced Medium, and a punishing Hard for veterans. Reduce Motion and a screen-shake toggle are built in.
One board for the whole world
The iPhone app and the browser version post to the same global leaderboard. Crack the top ten and your callsign goes up for everyone to see.
Just the game
Free, with no ads, no sign-up and nothing to buy. The only thing that leaves your device is the callsign and score you post.
Why it exists
It started as a browser game: a neon take on the arcade shooters that ate a generation's pocket money, built so anyone could play with one finger on a phone. That version is still online, free, as the classic 30-level run.
The iPhone and iPad app grew out of it and kept going. It gained a campaign, an Endless mode and bosses with a long memory. Every boss keeps a tally of how many ships it has taken from you and how many times you've beaten it, and the one that has beaten you most becomes your nemesis. It's a small idea that turns a high-score chase into a rivalry.
Built to feel good in your hand
Everything is tuned for one thumb: the ship eases toward your finger, fire is automatic, and letting go slows time instead of ending the run. The sound is synthesized in the app, the haptics give every hit a little kick, and a kid-friendly Easy lets younger pilots hold their own. No ads, no accounts, just the game.
